AUGUST 24 LEAGUE RECAP Trois-Rivieres 4, Ottawa 1 – Box Score Alberth Martinez’s three-run home run in the eighth inning broke a 1-1 tie and helped Trois-Rivieres defeat Ottawa by the final of 4-1. With the victory, the Aigles have now opened up a three-game lead over New Jersey in the race for the fourth and final playoff spot. Martinez went 1-for-4 with three RBIs while Taylor Brennan added a shot of his own along with two runs scored and an RBI in a 1-for-3 night. Brennan has 31 home runs on the season and is now only four away from tying the league record for most homers hit in a single season (Joe Maloney, 35, Rockland, 2017). Trois-Rivieres pitcher Taylor Hyssong tossed 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to nab the victory. Hyssong is now 5-1 on the year. For Ottawa in the loss, Vincent Guglietti went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
