MALONEY'S SOLO SHOT RUNS ROCKLAND'S WINNING STREAK TO 6

Rockland LF Joe Maloney (pictured) hit a lead-off home run in the top of the sixth inning to boost the Boulders to a 3-2 win against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, keeping the Boulders a perfect 6-0 on the season. The game was tied at 2-2 heading into the sixth. Rockland scored their first two runs in the top of the first inning as SS Mike Fransoso hit a two-run shot that also scored 2B Dylan Tice, but the Aigles leveled the score in the bottom of the fourth when DH Trevor Gretkzy singled home both RF Connor Crane and SS Alexander Ayala. Maloney, who was 2-for-4 in the game, gave his team the lead for good when he turned on a 1-0 delivery from Starter Matthew Rusch.
