MALONEY'S FIVE RBI DAY LEADS BOULDERS PAST JACKALS

The Boulders overcame an early 6-2 deficit on Saturday, to bury the Jackals 15-7, after losing the first game of the series. The Jackals scored three runs in the first inning, courtesy of two errors by the Boulders, and a RBI single by 3B Taylor Brennan. The Jackals led 6-2 in the fifth, when the Boulders promptly rolled off nine consecutive runs, starting with five in the fifth. The inning consisted of three RBI singles, a RBI walk, and a RBI groundout. One of the singles was hit by 1B Joe Maloney (pictured) who finished 3-5 on the day, knocking in five runs. Maloney added two more RBIs in the seventh on a two-run double to make the score 15-7.In other news, Sussex County shutout the Dominican Republic 8-0, Quebec beat Ottawa 8-4, and the Cuban National Team defeated Trois -Riveres 8-4.
