MALONEY SELECTED AS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders OF Joe Maloney (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 6. Maloney becomes the eighth Boulder to win a weekly award in 2017, and wins the Player of the Week award for the first time since the week ending July 12, 2015. Maloney took home three such awards in 2015. This week, he was 10-for-24 (.417) at the plate, collecting four doubles, four home runs and nine RBI.
