MALONEY GARNERS PLAYER OF THE MONTH HONORS

The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders INF Joe Maloney (pictured) has been named the league’s Rawlings Player of the Month for the month of August. Maloney enjoyed a powerful month of August, hitting 12 home runs to go with five doubles and two triples. He hit .238 over the course of the month. The Aston, Penn. resident was named the Can-Am League’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 6, as he began the month on a blistering pace. In the month’s first week, he was he was 10-for-24 (.417) at the plate, collecting four doubles, four home runs and nine RBI.
