LENNERTON'S BLAST PUSHES QUEBEC PAST OTTAWA

First baseman Jordan Lennerton (pictured) launched a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie and lift Quebec to a 2-1 victory over Ottawa. The Capitales had 14 hits in the contest with six batters collecting at least two. Lennerton went 2-for-3 on the night while 3B Lachlan Fontaine scored a run and had two hits in three at-bats. In other action from the Can-Am, New Jersey shutout Trois-Rivieres, 8-0 and Rockland beat Sussex County, 5-0.
