LANIER NAMED MANAGER OF THE YEAR

The Ottawa Champions failed to qualify for the Can-Am League postseason in their inaugural 2015 season. Year two in the Canadian capital has been a different story, however. Ottawa has clinched a playoff berth, thanks in large part to manager Hal Lanier (pictured). The longtime skipper has been recognized by the Can-Am League as the 2016 Can-Am League Manager of the Year. Ottawa sits at 51-48, and will be the fourth seed in the upcoming Can-Am League Playoffs.
