JULY 28 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Marc Lafleur/Ottawa Champions Ottawa 4, Trois-Rivieres 3 – Box Score Starting pitcher Jordan Kurokawa (pictured) tossed seven shutout innings in leading Ottawa to a 4-3 win over Trois-Rivieres. Kurokawa had another solid outing as he gave up only three hits and a walk while striking out six batters in 103 pitches. The righty picked-up his league tying eighth win of the season and now has the second lowest ERA at 1.85. After three scoreless innings to start off the contest, the Champions took a 3-0 lead in the fourth on a three-run home run from 1B Vincent Guglietti. Ottawa then added an important insurance run in the seventh on an RBI triple from SS Daniel Bick. The Aigles received a three-run blast from RF Michael Suchy in the ninth but their efforts to comeback and win came up short. Bick went 2-for-5 with an RBI while leadoff hitter Chase Harris contributed three hits in five at-bats. New Jersey 4, Rockland 1 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Score New Jersey scored single runs in the four of the first five innings and defeated Rockland by the score of 4-1 in game one…
