JUNE 10 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Marc Lafleur/Ottawa Champions Ottawa 7, Salina 1 – Box Score The Ottawa Champions jumped out to a 3-0 lead after three innings of play and would cruise from there to a 7-1 win over the Salina Stockade. The Champions collected 10 hits as a team and was led by leadoff hitter Coco Johnson (pictured) who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ottawa DH Sebastien Boucher had a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate with a run and RBI while RF Steve Brown had a hit and drove in a pair of runs. Champions pitcher Jake Hale threw five innings of relief to pick-up the victory. Hale gave up an earned run on three hits with five strikeouts in 69 pitches. The righty is now 3-2 on the season. For Salina in the losing effort, RF Tom McKenna went 1-for-3 with a run scored. Trois-Rivieres 6, Quebec 4 – Box Score Right fielder Taylor Oldham and SS Sam Dexter hit back-to-back RBI singles in the eighth inning to make it 6-2 Trois-Rivieres and that would prove to be enough as the Aigles defeated Quebec by a 6-4 score.
