JACOBS WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Sussex County Miners INF Chris Jacobs (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 14. Jacobs hit .345 (10-for-29) this week, hitting a double and five home runs while driving in 10. He capped the week with a pair of two-homer games on Saturday and Sunday in wins over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles.
