The New Jersey Jackals took the lead in the top of the first inning and held off the Sussex County Miners for a 3-2 win. DH Michael O’Neill (pictured) scored the game’s first run on a sac fly from 1B Art Charles and later in the inning, CF Dvontrey Richardson added a sac fly of his own to give the Jackals a 2-0 lead. In the fourth, LF Daniel Rockett scored on another sac fly – this one from SS Eddie Newton.Elsewhere, the Boulders topped the Champions 8-6 and Quebec beat Trois-Rivieres 6-2.
