JUNE 15 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: New Jersey Jackals New Jersey 5, Trois-Rivieres 4 – Box Score New Jersey collected their fourth consecutive victory as they edged past Trois-Rivieres by a 5-4 final. Shortstop Carlos Triunfel came home on a wild pitch in the seventh inning to give the Jackals a 5-3 lead and that proved to be the difference maker in the contest. New Jersey had 11 total hits with four players having multi-hit games. Triunfel had a pair of hits in four at-bats and two runs scored while 1B Dean Green (pictured) had a 3-for-5 game with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Third baseman Daniel Canela also chipped in two-run blast in a 2-for-4 night. Jackals pitcher Nate Gercken tossed 2/3 of an inning of relief and garnered his first win. Gercken gave up two hits and two walks while fanning a hitter. Quebec 2, Salina 1 – Box Score Quebec RF Brad Antchak hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Capitales to a 2-1 win over Salina.
