August 1 Recap New Jersey 6, Rockland 3 – Box Score New Jersey scored three runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead and would go on to defeat Rockland by that same margin. With the victory, the Jackals completed the three-game sweep of the Boulders. Left fielder Alfredo Marte (pictured) led the way offensively for New Jersey going 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Jackals 2B Nelson Ward and SS Santiago Chirino combined for three runs and four hits while CF David Harris added a hit in three official at-bats and drove in a pair of runs. In total, New Jersey had nine hits in the contest. Jackals starter Justin Brantley gave up three earned runs over seven innings of work and grabbed his sixth win of the season. Brantley (6-4) allowed a walk and eight hits while fanning four Rockland batters.…
