HODGES’ SINGLE GIVES QUEBEC WALK-OFF VICTORY

August 3 Recap Photo Courtesy: Quebec Capitales Quebec 2, Rockland 1 (10 Innings) – Box Score Third baseman Jesse Hodges (pictured) doubled home SS Brandon Fischer with the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Quebec defeated Rockland in walk-off fashion, 2-1. Fischer leadoff the 10th inning as the runner at second base. The next batter, 1B TJ White, sacrificed Fischer over to third with one out. Hodges followed White and hit the big double to bring Fischer home from third and give the Capitales the victory. Hodges went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs while Fischer scored a pair of runs in a 2-for-5 night. Quebec pitcher Jonathan De Marte tossed two scoreless innings of relief and notched the win. The 26-year-old walked one and struck out three in the eight batters he faced. With the victory, De Marte improved his record to 2-2…
