Along with infielder Peter Mooney’s quest to win an Opening Day spot with Miami and Wilmer Font’s bid to do the same with the Los Angeles Dodgers, another of the Can-Am League’s bright prospects seems to have opened so many eyes in spring training that his major league debut may not be far behind.Robert Stock, less than 20 months removed from the New Jersey Jackals’ bullpen and fresh from a strong winter in Mexico, is being touted as an early call-up from the minor leagues if he does not stick with the San Diego Padres for next week’s openers.
