GRETZKY'S WALKOFF SINGLE SPARKS QUEBEC VICTORY

LF Trevor Gretzky (pictured) hit a walkoff single in the bottom of the eleventh inning to secure the Quebec Capitales’ first victory of the year in their 3-2 win over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. The game was tied 5-5 until the top half of the 11th inning where the Aigles scored two runs. In the bottom of the inning with two outs, RBI singles from 1B Jordan Lennerton and CF Kalian Sams set the stage for Gretzky’s game winning hit. Quebec reliever Jasvir Rakkar received the win throwing two innings, giving up just one earned run on three hits. Aigles’ CF Yeixon Ruiz was 4-for-5 on the night, adding two runs and two RBI.
