GIARRAPUTO WINS BALLGAME FOR MINERS

Miners 3B Nick Giarraputo (pictured) hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th, giving Sussex County a 5-4 home win over the Jackals. 1B Chase McDonald hit a one-out single in the 10th for Sussex County, and proceeded to steal second, allowing him to score on Giarraputo’s hit. Giarraputo led the Miners with three hits on the ballgame. He hit a solo home run in the second for the game’s first run.
