GELINAS, CAPITALES WIN, REMAIN TIED WITH BOULDERS

The Capitales blanked the Jackals on Saturday night to maintain their tie for first place in the Can-Am League. The Quebec ball club is tied with the Rockland Boulders with just one game remaining. RHP Karl Gelinas (pictured) paced the Capitales, as he struck out eight batters over 7.2 innings. Gelinas (9-3) allowed four hits and walked just two batters. Elsewhere, the Boulders dominated the Champions by a score of 8-1 and the Miners topped the Aigles 6-0 in a rain-shortened contest.
