FOUR-RUN FIFTH PROPELS CUBA TO SIXTH STRAIGHT VICTORY

The Cuban National Team scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie and defeat the Rockland Boulders by a 5-1 score. Cuba swept the three-game set from Rockland and has now won six straight. Center fielder Julio Martinez (pictured) went 2-for-5 on the afternoon with a big fifth-inning three-run home run. In other afternoon action from the Can-Am League, Ottawa beat New Jersey in 10 innings, 4-1 and Trois-Rivieres defeated Shikoku Island, 6-5. Aigles swept the series with three walkoff wins.
