AUGUST 19 AFTERNOON LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 6, New Jersey 4 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Score Quebec scored five runs in the fourth inning to overcome a 3-0 deficit and beat New Jersey by the score of 6-4 in game one of a doubleheader. The Capitales had seven total hits with Maxx Tissenbaum leading the way going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Brad Antchak scored a run in a 1-for-2 game while James McOwen launched his 10th home run of the season, a solo shot in the fifth inning. Quebec starter Karl Gelinas (pictured) threw five innings and picked-up his eight victory of the season. Gelinas gave up three earned runs on four hits and allowed no walks. For the Jackals, Nolan Meadows had a 1-for-2 outing with a home run and three RBIs. The blast by Meadows was his ninth of the year. Trois-Rivieres 9, Sussex County 8 – Box Score Javier Herrera’s three-run home run in the sixth inning gave Trois-Rivieres a 9-5 lead and that proved to the difference in the game as the Aigles held off Sussex County, 9-8.
