FISCHER'S SOLID OUTING LEADS BOULDERS PAST MINERS

A sensational outing by Rockland starter David Fischer (pictured) leads the Boulders to a 5-2 victory over the Sussex County Miners. Fischer tossed 127 pitches in an 8 1/3 inning performance giving up an earned run on five hits with a pair of walks and 11 strikeouts. The righty notched his second straight win and is now 4-2 on the season. The rest of the Can-Am action is tonight with Quebec hosting Ottawa and Trois-Rivieres visiting New Jersey.
