At the age of 35 by mid-season and with only eight major league innings the last two seasons, Steve Delabar may not seem to be a formidable bullpen addition for Texas.But the big Kentuckian (6-foot-4, 220 pounds), one of the most successful of the Can-Am League’s finds, has a resume that includes 190 major league appearances including selection to the American League All-Star team in 2013 so the Rangers have signed Delabar to a minor league contract and will give him an opportunity in their major league spring training camp.
