While the Can-Am League season is only opening this week excitement also is starting to build for those three weeks in June (9-30) when the Cuban National Team as well as the Shikoku Island League All-Stars from Japan will invade to play every one of the six permanent members of the 12-year-old circuit.In this first major involvement for any league since relations have improved with Cuba, “we will see pretty much the same team as competed against the (Tampa Bay) Rays” in March in Havana, Quebec manager Patrick Scalabrini said this week.
