COKER'S CLUTCH HIT LEADS OTTAWA OVER SUSSEX COUNTY

Champions 3B Jason Coker (pictured) hit an RBI double in the top of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie, and the Ottawa bullpen held the Miners at bay for a 4-3 win. The Champions had already plated a trio of runs in the third, when LF Matt Helms hit a 2-RBI triple and scored on an error. RHP Daniel Cordero struck out eight Miners in six innings, earning the win for Ottawa. Elsewhere, Quebec topped Rockland 8-2, while New Jersey and Trois-Rivieres were suspended after seven innings with the Aigles ahead 3-2.
