The Ottawa Champions began defense of their 2016 championship with a 7-1 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. Starting pitcher Austin Chrismon (pictured) was the star for Ottawa tonight as he tossed a terrific seven inning performance. Chrismon allowed only one unearned run on eight hits and struck out seven batters.Elsewhere tonight, Rockland beat Sussex County, 9-3 and New Jersey doubled up Quebec 8-4.
