New Jersey Jackals INF Art Charles (pictured) has re-written the Can-Am League record books in his first season in the league. His list of accomplishments, already the most impressive of any Can-Am League player, has just grown by one. Charles has been named the Can-Am League’s 2016 Player of the Year. The award was voted on by the league’s field managers and media representatives from each club. Charles is currently in position to become the Can-Am League’s first Triple Crown winner, as he leads the league in batting average at .350 (123-for-351), home runs at 28, and RBI at 99.
