AUGUST 10 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Marc Lafleur/Ottawa Champions Ottawa 6, Rockland 5 – Box Score Designated hitter Sebastien Boucher doubled home C Tyler Nordgren (pictured) with the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Ottawa defeated Rockland in a walk-off, 6-5. The Boulders had a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the seventh only to see the Champions score four runs over their final three trips to the plate to rally to the victory. Ottawa had nine hits in the game and was led by Nordgren who went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Champions SS Daniel Bick added a pair of hits along with a run and an RBI while 1B/LF Brian Portelli had a 1-for-4 outing and drove in a run. Champions pitcher Scott Maine threw an inning of scoreless relief to nab the win. Maine struck out one in the three batters he faced and improved his mark to 3-3 on the year. For Rockland in the losing effort, 1B Conrad Gregor had a 3-for-5 game with two runs scored and an RBI. Quebec 3, Sussex County 2 – Box Score The Quebec Capitales…
