AUGUST 5 AFTERNOON LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Marc Lafleur/Ottawa Champions Ottawa 9, Sussex County 0 – Box Score It was all Ottawa this afternoon as the Champions shutout Sussex County by the score of 9-0. Ottawa pounded out 11 hits in the contest with nine batters collecting at least one. Champions LF Brian Portelli went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI while 1B Vincent Guglietti launched a home run, scored two runs and drove in two. Center fielder Chase Harris (pictured) also chipped in a three-run shot for Ottawa. Champions starting pitcher Austin Chrismon tossed an eight-hit complete shutout to win his seventh game of the season. Chrismon struck three and walked none in his 108-pitch performance. With the victory, Ottawa won the weekend series two games to one. New Jersey 10, Quebec 7 – Box Score New Jersey scored early and often as they plated all 10 of their runs in the first four innings and defeated Quebec, 10-7.
