CHAMPIONS DEFEAT JACKALS IN 12 INNING MARATHON

The Ottawa Champions defeated the New Jersey Jackals in 12 innings to record their second victory on the year. Reliever Luis Parra earned the win in relief shutting out the Jackals for three innings while striking out six. Ottawa’s Robert Garza led the way offensively for the Champions going 3-for-6 with three runs scored and three RBI. In the contest, each team had 14 hits as four Jackals and six Champions had multiple hits in the game. New Jersey’s Dustin Lawley had an excellent game at the plate going 2-for-5 with seven RBI.
