CAPITALES WALK OFF ON CHAMPIONS IN EXTRAS

The Quebec Capitales entered the bottom of the ninth trailing the Ottawa Champions by one run but they tied the score after a balk and then walked off to a 3-2 victory in the bottom of the tenth. Capitales Reliever Jon Fitzsimmons, who earned the win, sat the Champions down in order in the top of the tenth by striking out the side. In the bottom of the extra frame, 1B Jordan Lennerton reached on an error with one out and took second after SS Yurisbel Gracial was hit by a pitch. In the next at-bat, C Maxx Tissenbaum (pictured) singled to score Lennerton and end the game.Elsewhere, New Jersey beat Sussex County 19-3 as Art Charles set a new CanAm League mark for hits in a game with six and Rockland slid past Trois-Rivieres 2-1.
