CAPITALES SET NEW CAN-AM LEAGUE RECORD WITH 23 RUNS

The old record for runs in a game was 22, set by the Aigles on June 22, 2012. The Capitales also tied the single-game record for RBIs with 21. New Jersey was the last team to have 21 RBIs as they did so June 30, 2008. 2B Maxx Tissenbaum (pictured) also tied a single-game league record for scoring six times as he went 5-for-7 with three RBI. As a team, the Capitales racked up 24 hits (four shy of the Can-Am record) and six different batters had multi-hit games. 3B Yurisbel Gracial went 4-for-7 with three RBI and a run scored and 1B Jordan Lennterton went 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored. Tissenbaum, Lennerton and CF Kalian Sams each homered in the game.Elsewhere, Rockland and Ottawa were postponed by rain.
