The Capitales scored all seven runs in the first five innings and cruised to a 7-1 win over the Miners on Wednesday morning. CF Kalian Sams (pictured) opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the top of the first, giving Quebec a lead it would not relinquish. Three more runs scored in the third, including an RBI single by 2B Maxx Tissenbaum and an RBI double from SS Yurisbel Gracial. DH Taylor Oldham hit the Capitales’ second homer of the day, a solo shot in the fourth. Quebec scored once more on an RBI single from 1B Jordan Lennerton in the fifth.
