AUGUST 12 EVENING LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 2, Sussex County 1 – Box Score Quebec finished off the four-game sweep of Sussex County as they edged past the Miners by the score of 2-1. With the game scoreless after six innings of play, Sussex County would finally push a run across in the seventh as 1B Audy Ciriaco came home to score on a single by LF Connor Crane. The Capitales came back in the eighth and took the lead for good as they tallied a pair of runs on an RBI double by 2B TJ White and a run producing single from CF Kalian Sams. Quebec RF Phildrick Llewellyn went 2-for-3 with a run scored while White had a hit in four at-bats along with a run and an RBI. Capitales starting pitcher Karl Gelinas (pictured) tossed eight strong innings to notch his seventh win of the season. Gelinas gave up an earned run on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
