By any measurement, left-handed relief pitcher Craig Breslow has been one of the most successful players ever to come out of one of the Can-Am League’s current teams, the New Jersey Jackals.He is one of the former major leaguers who is planning to help Israel attempt to qualify for next spring’s World Baseball Classic. Breslow, first baseman Ike Davis, hurler Jason Marquis and another Yale product, catcher Ryan Lavarnway, will suit up for Israel for the qualifying tournament which also includes Great Britain, Brazil and Pakistan when it is played in Brooklyn, N.Y., September 22-25.
