August 22 Recap Trois-Rivieres 8, Sussex County 3 – Box Score Third baseman Taylor Brennan’s (pictured) two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning gave Trois-Rivieres a 5-3 lead and they would go on from there to beat Sussex County by an 8-3 score. With the victory, the Aigles cut the Miners lead to three games in the race for first in the Can-Am League. First baseman Juan Kelly led the way offensively for Trois-Rivieres going 1-for-1 with a home run, two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs. Aigles DH Alberth Martinez and LF David Glaude each scored a pair of runs in a 1-for-4 night while Brennan and SS Thomas Roulis both collected two RBIs. Trois-Rivieres starting pitcher Domenic Mazza tossed six innings of work and notched the win. The southpaw gave up three earned runs on eight hits and struck out nine batters. Mazza improved…
