BOULDERS RALLY FOR BIG WIN OVER JACKALS

CF Jared McDonald (pictured) picked up a walk-off single as the Boulders edged their rival New Jersey Jackals 8-7. SS Pat McKenna led off the ninth with a single in a 7-7 game. After a walk, McKenna stood on second, and he went to third on a lineout. A second walk loaded the bases with two out, and McDonald came up and ended the game. The walk-off was only part of a three-run comeback for Rockland, who plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth as well. Elsewhere, Ottawa walked off on Trois-Rivieres 5-4, Shikoku Island topped Quebec 2-1 and Cuba rallied past Sussex County 6-4.
