JUNE 24 LEAGUE RECAP Rockland 9, Salina 8 – Box Score Two consecutive bases loaded walks in the bottom of the ninth inning won the game for Rockland as they beat Salina in a walk-off, 9-8. The Stockade scored three runs in top of the ninth to reclaim an 8-7 advantage but could not record an out in the bottom frame as they walked four of the five batters that came to the plate and lost the game. Boulders CF Mike Montville (pictured) led the way offensively going 2-for-3 with a home run, four runs scored and an RBI while 1B Mikael Mogues plated a run and drove in three in a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate. Rockland leadoff hitter JC Rodriguez also added a solo home run. Boulders pitcher Matt Kostalos threw 2/3 of an inning of scoreless relief to nab the win. Kostalos, who won his first game of the year, struck out one in the two batters faced. With the win, Rockland completed the sweep of the Stockade and have now won four in a row.
