BOULDERS EXTEND LEAGUE-BEST RECORD IN WIN OVER CHAMPIONS

The Boulders prevailed on Saturday after falling on Friday night, prevailing over the Champions in the third game of their four-game series. The teams exchanged blows in the first inning, with each side scoring two runs in the opening frame. The Champions took a 4-2 lead in the fourth before the Boulders stormed back to take the lead in the bottom of the inning. C Alex Herceg opened the scoring with a RBI double and he scored two plays later on an error, as the Boulders took a 5-4 lead. The Boulders went on to win 7-5, with 1B Joe Maloney (pictured) picking up two RBIs in the victory. Maloney now leads the league with 44 RBIs on the year.Elsewhere, the Dominican Republic beat Quebec 11-5 in the first game of their doubleheader and Quebec took the second game 3-2, New Jersey beat the Cuban National Team 11-1 and Sussex County defeated Trois-Rivieres 10-8.
