AUGUST 8 EVENING LEAGUE RECAP Rockland 8, Quebec 4 – Box Score Rockland jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings of play and would cruise from there to an 8-4 win over Quebec. The Boulders had eight hits in the contest and was led by the 5-6 hitters of C Kevin Krause and 3B Cody Regis (pictured). The duo combined to go 5-for-7 at the plate with three home runs, four runs scored and six RBIs. Left fielder Conrad Gregor also aided the Rockland offense by chipping in a blast and scoring two runs in a 1-for-4 night. Boulders starter Brian Ernst allowed three earned runs over 5 2/3 innings pitched to notch his third win of the year. Ernst allowed a walk and eight hits while striking out six batters. Left fielder James McOwen went 2-for-5 with a run scored for the Capitales. Trois-Rivieres 2, Sussex County 0 – Box Score Starting pitcher Tyler Garkow and reliever Shaun Ellis combined on a five-hit shutout as Trois-Rivieres beat Sussex County, 2-0.
