June 5 Afternoon Recap Photo Courtesy: Rockland Boulders Rockland 7, Sussex County 6 (10 Innings) – Box Score Second baseman Ryne Birk (pictured) singled home LF Grant Heyman with the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Rockland defeated Sussex County in a walk-off, 7-6. The Boulders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning as RF Mitch Piatnik came around to score on a single by SS John Brontsema. The Miners came back in the top of the fourth to take a 3-1 advantage thanks to a three-run home run by C Andy Paz. Rockland would add single runs in the fourth and fifth to tie it up at 3-3 before a 2B Trey Hair single in the top of the seventh gave the lead right back to Sussex County at 4-3.
