Trois-Rivieres jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and would never look back as they defeated the Ottawa Champions, 9-4. The Aigles banged out 12 hits in the contest with eight batters collecting at least one. Trois-Rivieres leadoff hitter Jesus Merchan (pictured) went 3-for-4 with a run scored and four RBI.In other action from around the league, Rockland-New Jersey and Quebec-Sussex County were postponed due to rain. Both have doubleheaders scheduled for Sunday.
