AIGLES USE 10-RUN SIXTH TO HOLD OFF OTTAWA

The Trois-Rivieres Aigles used a 10-run sixth inning and held off a late charge from the Ottawa Champions to win 11-8. In the sixth, the Aigles sent 15 batters to the plate, racked up 12 hits and scored 10 runs to take a commanding 11-2 lead. Ottawa scored six runs in the final three innings including three in the ninth but couldn’t complete the comeback. For the Aigles, 3B Daniel Mateo (pictured), LF Javier Herrera, RF Connor Crane and SS Alexander Ayala each went 3-for-5 with two RBIs in the game.Elsewhere, Quebec topped the Cuban National Team 10-2.
