The Trois-Rivieres Aigles took the lead for good in the seventh inning and held on for a 6-5 win over the New Jersey Jackals. Tied 4-4 in to the seventh, DH Mike Schwartz and CF Steve Brown (pictured) scored on errors to put the Aigles ahead. Trois-Rivieres had previously scored two runs in the first on a sacrifice fly from Schwartz and an RBI single by 1B Daniel Mateo. LF Jiwan James hit an RBI double in the fourth for Trois-Rivieres, while C Kyle Lafrenz drove in a run in the sixth with an RBI fielder’s choice. Elsewhere, Ottawa topped Quebec 4-1 and Rockland rolled past Sussex County 14-2.
