MAY 24 LEAGUE RECAP Trois-Rivieres 7, Sussex County 1 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Trois-Rivieres scored all seven of their runs in the first four innings and cruised to a 7-1 win over Sussex County in game one of a doubleheader. The Aigles had nine hits in the contest and was led by 3B Taylor Brennan who went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Trois-Rivieres SS Sam Dexter added a pair of hits in three at-bats with three runs batted in while leadoff hitter Alexi Colon plated two runs in a 1-for-3 game. Aigles starting pitcher Kevin McNorton tossed a complete game en route to his first win of the season. McNorton allowed an earned run on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. For Sussex County in defeat, LF John Fussell doubled and drove in a run. Sussex County 5, Trois-Rivieres 4 (Game 2 – 9 Innings) – Box In game two, Sussex County C Christian Correa hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive in the game winning run as the Miners defeated Trois-Rivieres, 5-4.
