AIGLES’ HIGH-FLYING GLADU EARNS BATTER OF THE WEEK HONORS

Dayton, Ohio — Trois-Rivières Aigles OF Raphaël Gladu is the Can-Am League’s Batter of the Week for the week of July 15, as selected by the league office. In five games, Gladu hit .556 (10-for-18) with two doubles, two homers and eight RBI as the Aigles went 3-3. On Thursday against Quebec, the Trois-Rivières native went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in a 9-4 victory. Two nights later, Gladu was 4-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs scored in another 9-4 win, this time over New Jersey. In his second stint this season with the Aigles, Gladu is hitting .383 through 30 games with three home runs and three triples, tying him for the league lead.
