JULY 13 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Trois-Rivieres Aigles Trois-Rivieres 5, Ottawa 1 – Box Score Trois-Rivieres continues to play solid baseball as they notched their fourth straight win with a 5-1 decision over Ottawa. The Aigles scored three runs in the first inning to jump ahead 3-0 and would cruise from there to the big victory. The 2-3 hitters of LF Javier Herrera and 3B Taylor Brennan (pictured) led the offense for Trois-Rivieres. The duo combined to go 4-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and four RBI. Brennan also chipped in his league leading 19th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the first. Aigles starter Tyler Garkow threw seven solid innings in winning his third straight decision. Garkow gave up an earned run on four hits with three walks and six punchouts. With the victory, the righty is now 6-2 on the year. Sussex County 12, New Jersey 2 – Box Score Sussex County picked up their fourth straight victory as they defeated New Jersey by the score of 12-2.
