AIGLES DEFEAT CAPITALES AND COMPLETE THE THREE-GAME SWEEP

August 29 Recap Trois-Rivieres 4, Quebec 1 – Box Score Trois-Rivieres finished off the three-game sweep of Quebec as they downed the Capitales by the score of 4-1. Aigles starting pitcher Kevin McNorton (pictured) tossed seven solid innings and notched his ninth victory of the season. McNorton gave up an earned run on seven hits and struck out two batters. Trois-Rivieres closer Garrett Mundell threw a scoreless ninth inning and collected his league leading 20th save of the year. Mundell allowed a walk and struck out one in the four batters he faced. Offensively for the Aigles, 3B Taylor Brennan led the way at the plate going 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Trois-Rivieres 1B Juan Kelly added a pair of hits, including a blast of his own, and an RBI while 2B Tucker Nathans doubled and plated a run. For Quebec in the losing…
