UTICA, Mich. – Ben Wilcoxson went 4-for-4 with two runs scored to lead the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (6-7) over the Utica Unicorns (7-4),3-0, on Sunday Fun Day at Jimmy John’s Field.
Left-handed pitcher Brennan Cox picked up his first win of the season, working 2.0 innings, allowing one hit, no runs, no walks and struck out two. RHP John Beuckelaere tossed the final inning, striking out two of the four batters he faced, earning his third save.
Leading the Unicorns offensively was shortstop Patrick Baggett, Cam Norgren, and Donovyn Curiel, each with one hit.
