X's Rally Past 'Roaders in Extras

CLEBURNE, Texas (June 15, 2019) – For the second straight night, the Cleburne Railroaders could not hold a late lead and lost in ten innings to the Sioux City Explorers, this time by the score of 6-3 on Saturday night at The Depot. Sioux City (13-15) scored three times in the top of the tenth on just one hit. Two walks and a throwing error by Martire Garcia (1-2) put the Explorers in front 4-3, then Jose Sermo laid down a squeeze bunt to add an insurance run. Dexture McCall capped the scoring in the inning with a two-out RBI single. The Railroaders (13-15) led 3-1 into the top of the seventh, but Kyle Wren tied the game with a two-out, two-run double against D.J. Sharabi. Both starters pitched well, as Michael Gunn and Eric Karch kept the game scoreless through the first two innings. Chase Simpson got the scoring…
