Wichita 5, Joplin 4 — Box Score The Wichita Wingnuts rallied from a four run deficit in the final three frames and walked off on the Joplin Blasters 5-4 with a solo home run from LF T.J. Mittelstaedt. The Blasters built a 4-0 lead with three runs in the second inning and another in the fifth. But the Wingnuts cut into that lead with two runs in the seventh and then tied the score with a two-run single from CF Harrison Kain. In the bottom of the ninth, with the score tied at 4-4, Mittelstaedt belted out a solo shot on a full count with two away. 1B Matt Chavez led the Wingnuts with three hits and for the Blasters, 1B Geraldo Valentin went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Fargo-Moorhead 4, Kansas City 0 — Box Score Starting pitcher Tyler Alexander went the distance and shutout the Kansas City T-Bones, setting up the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for a 4-0 win. Alexander faced just 31 batters on the night as he gave up five hits and no walks. He struck out eight batters and 91 of his 134 pitches went for strikes. The win gives him 12 on the season.
